Question for Pokemon Ruby

Do I have to complete ruby to trade with fire red
Because I have completeed fire red but have not got far on ruby

You must have the ruby and sapphire in fire red to trade with ruby, sapphire and emerald.

You need the National PokeDex on FireRed, and you need to have done the Ruby and Sapphire plate missions to enable trade between the two, then get the National Dex in Ruby.

Fortunately, yes. You can trade between Ruby and FireRed at any time as long as you've completed FireRed. You could've just started Ruby and still be able to trade with your completed FireRed.

I think you do, but in Fire Red, you must establish communication with the Hoenn region by doing this one mini-storyline that involves going around number islands and getting a blue rock and red rock and bringing them one at a time to some guy on a number island.
