Pokemon ID numbers are determined by the ID number of the Trainer that caught it.

You obviously don't know that Pokemon have the same ID number as the trainer that caught it. If you want to win the contest at the mall trade lots of Pokemon with your friends and the in-game characters who trade Pokemon such as the girl in Fortree city eho trades a skitty fro a pikachu(at least thats what I think what she trades it for)
