That's the risk you take when using a cheat code device- the risk of the extreme possibility of the device screwing your game up. That's why if I was going to use one to get foreign Pokemon (from Kanto and Johto), I would use it on the Sapphire I have access to, then trade it to my Ruby. I would definitely not want to screw up a game I put 403 hours of my life into, and a PokeDex with 266 Pokemon filled in.

Sounds more like what's wrong with your code!! I doubt it's your game, it's your GameShark!! Sounds like a bad code or maybe it was for a different version. Go look for another Master Code or different encounter codes or something!

cyber_john3000 answered:

The code must be a bogus code or your game is just corrupted in some way.

EspeonDude_ answered:

The GameShark codes are bogus, Master Code isin't on, or something is bugged in either your game or GS.

Zelda Fan answered:

Well thats what happens when you enter in cheats, theres nothing you can do about it.

Da Mario Man answered:

Gameshark's are risky to use. First, check if the code works before saving your game( Believe me, I learned the hard way).

TEAM KA LEADER answered:

The most logical reason is your Gameshark, whenever you do put in a code, you always run the risk of your gaming malfunctioning.

There is also the possibility, that the code you entered was infact a bogus code, and that it has the effect that it does what happened to your game.
