Question for Pokemon Ruby

I need help on finding out how to use the eon ticket and I need somebody to tell me how to use it to get to the southern island.

P.S. I Have the ticket but need to know how to use it at the ferry. Also what is at the southern island anyways.

I think there are some jhoto Pokemon at the island
