Question for Pokemon Ruby

What is a gold/silver sheild and what does it do and how do you get it?

P.S. I am not sure if a gold or silver sheild is even an item so if anyone answers please could you clear this up.

It's a real item, and you win it in battle tower, and I don't know what it does.

Silver Shield and Gold Shield are Decorative Items. They go on as Ornaments.

You get Silver Shield as a prize for beating 50 trainers in a row in the Battle Tower.

You get Gold Shield as a prize for beating 100 trainers in a row in the Battle Tower.

The silver and gold shields are decorations for your secret base and you get them by beating (I think) 100 people in the Battle Tower.

They're items you put in your base to brag about when you win 50/100 battles in a row at the BT.

I heard that if you trade a ho-oh holding a gold shield from saphire to somebody, and they trade you a ditto holding a gold shield, then they both evolve into a celibi
