Question for Pokemon Ruby

I am trying to get Latitos, I put it to sleep and it's almost fainted and everytime I find it, it runs away while it's asleep! I dont get it! I was hoping maybe someone could help.

Remember in wild pokemon battles. Even when your pokemon is asleep you can run? Well latios acts as a pokemon and a trainer alike. It also can run while it is frozen or asleep.

Putting it to sleep won't do anything. When you find it again try using ultra ball on right away unless you have master ball.

Put a strong Wobufet in the front of your party and then throw balls at it.

OK, first get a good lvl 40 golbat/crobat in the front of your party. just make sure you teach it mean look befor you try tracking down latias/latios. But remember that you have to see it once before you can look at your pokedex to find out were it is.

Look at your pokedex and predict were you think it will go next. It stays in the same area as long as you stay on the same rout. It usually only moves one rout, but if you fly to somewere, it will go around another city. For me it only goes around mauville, sootopolis, pacifilog, and mosdeep. But it might be different for you. when you eventually get into the area that latias/latios is in, just keep looking but make sure that you stay in the same rout. when you encounter it, use mean look. now you have time to use lots of balls. stock up on every ball, just in case.

REMEMBER YOU HAVE TO MAKE SURE THA TGOLBAT/CROBAT DOES NOT FAINT OR MEAN LOOK'S EFFECT WILL NOT WORK ANYMORE, AND LATIAS/LATIOS WILL RUN AWAY AGAIN!
