Question for Pokemon Ruby

Sorry for asking so many questions. I am just having problems with the game

How does the Sootopolis city gym doors open? I am the master at killing bird Pokemon so I need to know badly!!

You have to defeat team Magma before you can get the gym door to open.

You have to defeat/capture groudon in the Cave of Origin.

You have to capture/defeat groudon in cave of origin and then the door opens as a thanks from the gym leader

You may be in a spot of trouble there because sootopolis gym has water pokemon. You have to either defeat or catch Groudon

IFirst you have to find stevin at sootopolis and second I thought he uses water pokemon
