Question for Pokemon Ruby

Hiya,

I've just started on Pokemon Ruby and I don't know where to get the TM, ROCK SMASH from.

Please help me as I completely stumped as to where and how.

HM06 (Rock Smash) (in Ruby and Sapphire, it's a Hidden Machine) can be obtained from the scientist in the house directly below the Pokémon Center and the Bike Shop in Mauville City. You must have the Mauville Gym Badge to use it.

You get Rock Smash by talking to a man inside the second house on the bottom, in Mauville.

Okay first off in this game rock smash is an HM not a TM. If you have made it to Rustboro city and saved that person in Petalburg Woods, all you have to do is follow the main road through Rustboro city until the same guy you rescued earlier comes running through saying something like don't take my goods. Go up and you'll come to a choice of either going straight or turning right in the top edge of Rustboro city. Turn right. keep on going until you find Rusturf Tunnel. Get the guys goods back for him. He should take you to the Devon Corporation boss or something like that. After you get the pokenav, letter, and goods go back through the woods and find Mr. Briney's house. Go in and talk to him and tell him you want to go to Dewford town to deliver Steven's letter. You should know what to do from there. Hope this helps!!

The HM rock smash is in mauville. Go into the purple roofed house right of the mart.

It is now HM 06 and it is given to you by a guy in a lab coat in a house in Mauville City on the same "road" as the Mart but the right side of the screen(as opposed to the right) when entering from Rt.110
