The three Pokemon at the start of the game are Treeko, Mudkip and Torchic.

It depends how you train them. Maybe Wurmple and it's evolutions.

Useually grass type Pokemon level up the quickest.
But I useually try to get a gastly,chicorita(sorry spellings probably off),and a pidgy to start off

All Pokemon at the start of the game level up quickly. It's better to train weaker Pokemon than to train strong Pokemon because the higher the level when they are caught, the harder it is to train.

Treekco, Mudkip, and Torchic, they level up the same, but Torchic is more stronger than the other two, Treekco is weakest, but has most HP on level 100, Mudkip is as strong as Torchic, but a little weaker.
