They should do fine. Train only a few monsters in the beginning of the game and then add on once you got far enough that you have confidence you can win any battle.

Yes, you need either a Gameshark or AR. I recommened AR.

Train them to level 30 at least...
You can either buy a GameShark or Action Replay. You can buy it at a GameStop, game stores, or the web.

Get a Pokemon, any Pokemon that knows an ice move!
Get them all at least to level 35.

TRAIN A LOT! I'm a strong trainer and Winona was 1 of 2 that got me.
Try to evolve your Pokemon here are the levles

I would not use BReloom Winona uses Flying type
Electricke lv26
Marshtomp lv36

For the gameshark question no but you can buy them at EB games
