Question for Pokemon Ruby

Please help me ok, here it is in Pokemon ruby I'm trying to get to the islands like sootoplis and all the others and I've taken the trip from one of the places to slateport and I go in the water and theres a current or a way I have to go.

I'm trying to go except there is this current of water pushing the other way and I am trying to get passed it so I can get to the other islands so can one of you guys please help me ASAP.

You have to surf from lilycove. If you can't because of three wailmers then defeat the magmas in there den first. Then surf staight and you will find another city with a gym in it. To get to sotopolisis you then down-left, you need dive get through the short cave. Hpoe this helps ASAP

Duuude you know the currents are only if you want to catch the Regi's or another way to go to Slateport. As far as I know to get to Sootopolis you are supposed to Surf until you find white rocks (no not blue ones like white white) then use Dive in the dark areas but they have to be like really close to the white rocks. So if you look at the PokeNav, you are at Sootopolis but you don't see a town. I tell you, I think you were supposed to Dive then resurface when you are in the cave. Try that, I'm pretty positive. When you get there you see water that is light blue. This is perfectly normal and use Surf. If you are aiming to get Groudon, you walk on the buildings and stairs until you find Steven and Wallace. Or was it Brandon? I already caught Groudon so...dunno...Okay good luck on Sootopolis!
