How do you defeat steven at the Pokemon league ?

Well Steven is very good. H4 has an even balanced team, which is what you will need as well. Make sure that your team is well up into the 60's or even better into the 70's. Also bring lots of Hyper potions and Revives, just incase!
Also I recommend bring a Strong Ground Pokemon against his Metagross, it is strong against a lot of attacks, even psychic, one of my favourite moves.

Try to use alot of ground, fire and ice types. Have Pokemon at least 50-55.

To beat him use some fire,earth and water(sometimes) attacks.glad to help
