Question for Pokemon Ruby

In mosdeep there is an old guy who has two rooms in his house but one is locked how do you unlock it and when?

First of all go to the petalburg pokecenter. Talk to a kid next to the pc that asks you for something on your ID. Say Yes. Then write Mystery Event Is Exciting. Save. Turn your game off after you saved. Turn it on. At the menu with your saved game, new game, and options it should say mystery event. Choose the mystery event. Now take an E- Reader and another gameboy. Put the e-reader in the gameboy. If you kept your box for ruby take the card with the trainer out. Connect the gameboy and the Gameboy(e-reader) with a cable/link for gba.Swipe the card and it will tell you the rest.

PS: This won't work after action replay or gameshark codes are put in.
