Question for Pokemon Ruby

I know this is totally off the subject, but, what does the little button on the right of my AR do?

P.S. I have a version 5.9 and what do you think the best Deoxys is? I like speed form in Emerald.

It saves the codes on to your game, and turns off the AR.
I think the best is Defense form in LeafGreen.
