Question for Pokemon Ruby

Ok, I put in the code for the national dex changed mine to the national dex then I went back and turned on one of the old pokemon codes that came with my AR.

I looked in my pc and in the grass and the pokemon didnt show up.

Where do I get them?

The Pokemon will appear in the grass, caves, and anywhere like that EXCEPT when you fish. It will not show up on the pokedex.
