problem in cheating master ball code

I have a code for master ball (DCEEEC34AFEADC26),i've got it from this site but when tested it on my Gameboy emulator nothing happen??? I don't know why??? I check my bag/inventory on the game but still the same?. Please I need your help to fix this code or probably send me working cheat code for masterball in Pokemon ruby version thank you!!!.

You might have to press a button to activate it, like R or L.
