Question for Pokemon Ruby

I have another question!! How do you get that stupid Golbat to evolve to a Crobat. I tried since the beggining of the game and now I got like really really far and the nerd will not evolve.

I also have soothe bell on him wich makes him more friendlier, but I guess that don't work for me. So if there is another way I would love to know?

Keep battling, but don't let it faint, and give it a lot of items that aren't bitter (and let it hold one too).

All you have to do for a Pokemon that you need happyness to evole is to keep them in your party you dont have to fight with them at all (I've got a lev 6 Pikachu, Jigalypuff, Umbreon and Espion, working on a Electra kid, Klefas, Chancey and a Togapi right now).

Just start breeding and after you get like 5-6 poke breed with them in your party save and use a rare candy on him if he dosn't evole restart breed a few more Pokes then try again.
