You are shown a diploma when you talk to the Game Designer in the Cove Lily hotel in Lilycove.
I believe that if you talk to birch(professer) he will give you the choice from one of the three starters from joto
Talk to a guy in Lilycove City and he will give you a Diploma for all your hard work, Should be found in the Hotel. Besides that you get nothing, don't listen when people say you get free Pokemon and etc, not true.
You get a star on your trainer card that with four others can get you a legendary
Go to the game director he'll give you a star on your trainer card and go to prof birch he'll give you a generation 2 (johto) starter Pokemon.
You only get the starter from gen 2 on Emerald apparently. That's not available on Ruby on Sapphire to my knowledge
