Question for Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team

I just recently received Pokemon Red Rescue Team.
I saved my game last night and when I started game today there was no saved game, so I started over and saved and again the game says it's saving it but when I turn game back on there is no saved game,
Can anyone help?

Maybe the game was corrupted or it's a glitch.

The cartridge is corrupt and fake and there is no battery pack in the gameboy. The battery pack is the thing that saves the game. And man, never charge your gameboy when the cartridge is in it. Eject it and then charge the game boy (this goes for any cartridge, not only this one).
