Question for Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team

Okay guys... Your kind help has payed off. I feel kinda low since I used wonder mail to get all the friend area missions, and all of a sudden I unlock howling cave or something.

Well I guess you were supposed to do that after rayquaza since it was right after I got a friend area. Maybe it's not, just wondering if thats unusual, because after all it was one of those special missions like the one with 'punish bad mankeys'.

So anyway I'm on sky pillar or whatever it's called in this game. My character stats are now:

Charmander
Leader
Moves: Flamethrower (12PP) Metal Claw(15PP)-linked-Hidden Power(12PP) and Dig(12PP)
Item: I usually give him an oran berry, reviver seed, pecha scarf, insomniaspecs, or X-Ray specs

Totodile
Partner
Moves: Water Gun(18PP) Bite(?PP) ??????? (??? Sorry I don't have my game here so I forgot these...)
Item: Same as Leader

Absol
Friend of Preference
Moves: Bite(?PP) Theif(?PP) Thunderbolt (?PP) ???? (?PP)
Item: Same as Leader, although I do not give him Reviver Seeds as they are too precious
