Question for Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team

When you get to the point were you can evolve Pokemon, does the Pokemon have to be the exact level when it evolves or can the level be higher?
Ex: Charmander LV 17.
Can it still evolve into a Charmeleon?

Yes you just get it up one more level and it wil evolve

sk8rboy answered:

Yes, even if a Pokemon is past the level it evolves on, it can still evolve.

cooldude08 answered:

You will be able to evolve the Pokemon after you beat Rayquaza and the credits roll, you will then gain access to the Luminous Cave where you could evolve any Pokemon that meets their requirements.

Note that in this game, evolving Pokemon doesn't actually change it's ability and stats justt like what it does on the previous versions but it changes what moves it will learn on the further levels.

yammy answered:

Yes it has to be 1 level higher for it to elvole
