I may just be an idiot but i cant for the life of me figure out how to use moves in the Visualboy Advance emulator... Please help

For my emulator I have visual boy advance, and when I play red rescue team, the Z button is A, and the X, button is B, while the A button is L, and the S button is are,
Those are the controls on my emulator, I have visual boy advance
Z = A,
X = B
A = L
S = R
Press B a few times, then it should come up with the options (moves)
