How do I recruite the legendary pokemon

The best way to do this is to get to a very high level and buy all the friend areas available. Then go on the set missions without friends. This is an easier way to recruit them. Or you coul#d use a friend ribbon.
1) Maximize your recruit rate by level up your Pokemon as high as possible and hold Friend Bow. (some Pokemon have high recruit rate, even 99.9% so all that preparation sometimes is unneeded)
2) Get all Friend Area (most will come with the Pokemon, but some will be available through Wigglytuff and one can only be obtain through mission)
3) Check your team size, make sure it is smaller or equal to 2 if you are going to encounter a 4-star legendary (Groundon, Rayquaza, Kyogre, 3 birds, and so on).
4) Defeat the legendary using the team leader, and no shooting from afar.
5) Luck.
