I was wondering what a D-pad was. And also how do I become one of the elite four or Pokemon league??

I don't know what the D-Pad is but I know you can't become a member of the Pokemon League or Elite four you do become champion when you win but you play normaly after that any ways.

The D pad is the buttons that you press to move up down left and right

D-Pad:
It is the cross-shaped pad on your Gameboy. It is the thing you use to move around your character on a game or scroll through options. In this case, the thing you use to move around your Pokemon Trainer and scroll through your bag of items.
Elite Four:
No, that is not an option. Besides, what's the point in standing in a lonely room all day and being visited by a trainer once every other day. So no, this is not possible. However, once you beat them and the Champion a second time, you are practically an overall Pokemon Champion on your game.
