ok how do you get it happy?
Just train it?
And is there a way to check it's happyness?

To get what happy? Well to get a Pokemon happy, you must train to a fairly high level, and give it items such as rare candy.

Yes just train it,there is no way you can check how happy your Pokemon is.

Feed it stuff like protein, walk around with it, battle with it. Go to your Rival's house, let Daisy groom one and then talk to her again, she'ask to see the first Pokemon in your party, then she'll tell you how happy it is. (stuff like It's quite wary of you... It's warming to you.. It adores you etc) Legendaries' happiness is HARD to get, they seem to be forever glaring at you..
