Needed-2 GBA's, 2 Pokemon games, and a link cable:
Put the Pokemon you want to duplicate on the player 1 end in that game and then a useless Pokemon on the other(he will disapper, so make it a crummy one)end in the other game.
Go to trading center, once you get inside, pick the appropriate pokes to trade(the one to duplicate on player 1, the crummy one on player 2)and hit trade ok. Watch the animated stuff where they switch, and just after that when it says "saving do not turn off game" turn off the player 1 GBA and let the trade complete on the player 2 GBA.
If all went well, you should have the duplication Pokemon on BOTH GBA's, player 2 will have the same exact Pokemon as you as player 1 does in the spot where the crummy Pokemon was, and as a bonus, have it hold a Master Ball or something like that to duplicate that as well!
It may take a few tries to get the right timing, but it definitely will work!
