What exactly do you mean. I've never found a gem stone.

Ruby: Go to Mt. Ember (found in One Island), when you enter, go to the right. You'll see two rockets and you'll know the 1st password to the hideout. Beat them then go in the cave. Go deeper and deeper until you see braille. Go to the ladder and you'll find the ruby. Return to Celio and he'll ask you to find the sapphire.

Sapphire part 1: Go to Ruin Valley (found in Six Island) entrance and use cut on the door. When you go in, go through the hole. Then go to the hole north (up) of you. After that go to the hole west (left) of you, after that the east (right) of you. Finally go to the hole south (down) of you, then you'll find the Sapphire.

Sapphire part 2: But then a scientist will steal it and tell you the 2nd password through the rocket hideout. Go to the hideout (found in Five Island), and go to the entrance. It'll let you in since you know the passwords. Make your way through the hideout until you find the Admin. Beat him then go further until you find the scientist. Beat him then he'll give you the Sapphire.

You find it in Mt Ember you have to fite 2 rockets but their easy.
