Question for Pokemon LeafGreen
How do you catch Articuno I have tried millions of times even when his HP is down so far it would take one hit from any level pokemon it would faint ( 1 hp ) and I have tried everything listed about the codes(theholdAandUp...).

News flash: There are no cheats
Those button mashing cheats are speculation and good faith, it's been confirmed that they don't alter the outcome of a catch; the catch is pre-determined the instant you throw a ball, pressing what ever button in what ever combination won't change it.
Try giving articuno a status, in this case, freeze/sleep/paralyse it (it'll die if you give it anything else ofcourse...) this increases your catch rate exponentialy (not exaggerating) and there is a good chance then that you may be able to catch it with an Ultra ball (or any other ball, just less chance)
Good Luck, if it really is on 1 hp like you said, it shouldn't take more than 2 to 3 balls to catch it (sleeping or otherwise) ... it's normal (as well as worth it) to waste a couple of balls trying to catch the ledgendaries

Just throw ultra balls and tap B and A at the same time. That's how I caught mines.
