I come from australia and I don't know which gameshark code to enter do I enter the U.S code or the japanese code

If your Gameshark is from Japan, use the Japanese code, the same for the USA, if it's from the US, use the US Code.
If your Gameshark is just from Austrailia, try and google the codes.

It depends on which country yuor game was made in. On your game pack yuo will see a list of letters at the bottom right corner. There will be 3 letters then a dash. Following those letters will be 4 more letters a dash and then the short form of a countries name. On mine it says: AGB-BPRE-USA usa means it was made there so I use that code. All you have to do is find the code and chose the proper codes.
