Where do I find waterfall and whirlpool...how do you surf on waters that are goin fast..like on the first island?

Whirlpool is not an HM in this game, certain pokemno learn it. I forget where to get Waterfall. You cna not Surf of currents that are too strong.

Whirpool can't be obtained in this game
Waterfall is in Island 4, Ice Fall cave.

Waterfall is HM6 or 7 an' I'm not 100% sure where to get it... Whirlpool is not a TM or HM in this game, an' you don't need it anyways 'cause there are no whirlpools to cross.
You can't cross the water that's fast. No way no how. The water never slows.

but why would they put the fast water currents in the game if they can just put rocks?Volke answered:
Waterfall is found on Four Island I think. You cannot Surf on the fast water currents, because they are simply too strong.

Waterfall is obtained in Four Island Ice Cave. Whirlpool is a Level Up Move now, by Pokemon like Clamperl, etc.
To Surf on fast water... You can't. The current will blow you away.

HM07 (Waterfall) is in Four Island's Icefall Cave.
Whirlpool is not a TM or HM in this game, only in Gold, Silver, and Crystal.
And you can't go past rapids.
