Well the best Pokemon to start with is chrmander and work with him then if you get a chance get a lapras cause he is really powerful

krazykratos100 answered:

I would get Charmander a a Starter Pokemon and as you level up it would become a Charizard and be able to Fly and use strenghth. Never get Bulbasaur he sucks ass

Blademaster55 answered:

You want to have a team with mixed types when you beat the game like that is when you would want to try to beat the game with like only water or grass or something like that.

Jackster_pokemaster answered:

For starters,get a party consisting of Squirtle(or Wartortle),Growlithe,Abra(or Kadabra),Hoothoot(by Trade),Larvitar(by trade),and Kingdra(by trade holding Dragon Scale).Go from there with Blastoise,Arcanine,Alakazam,Noctowl,Kingdra,and Tyranitar(highly recommended).

Ok. There are no bad pokemon. Some just work better than others. I'll start with a flying pokemon. My favorite is pidgeot. The first form of pidgeot is pidgey. Pidgey can easily be found in the grass around Pallet Town. Pidgeot is good because of his speed. My favorite fire Pokemon is arcanine, the evolved form of growlithe. You can find growlithe in the Pokemon Mansion in cinnnabar. My favorite water Pokemon is dewgong, who evolves from seel. A good electric Pokemon is raichu. Evolve Pikachu using a thunderstone. A good ghost Pokemon is haunter. Haunter evolves from gastly. A good ground Pokemon is marrowak, who evolves from cubone.

Look dude, it doesn't matter what Starter you start with, because you wipe the floor against any trainer because they suck. Here is the team I always get when I start a new game:

Starter
Pidgey: Route 1
Pikachu: Viridian Forest
Abra: Route 12
Digglett: Digglett Cave (near Vermillion)
Eevee: Strange building in Celadon
I will list the attacks for some of the Pokemon, none with TMs
Okay, and when your done with them, they should be:

Charizard/Blastoise/Venusaur
Pidgeot
Fly/wing attack/quick attack/feather dance
Raichu (don't Evolve Pikachu until it learns thunder)
Thunder/thunderbolt/quick attack/thunder wave
Alakazam
Psychic/psybeam/future sight/recover
Dugtrio
Earthquake/madgitude/dig/slash
Espeon/Umbreon (don't Evolve Eevee until you have the National Pokedex)
