It's tricky. Start a new game and check te Charmander. If it's not black, Start another new game. It's like the female Starter. You just have to be lucky.

You need it to be shiny to be black or you can use a cheat device.

You can't get a black Charmander.You are only able to get a Charmander that is green or red, because green is Charmander's shiny color. Just because Charizard's shiny color is black, it doesn't mean that Charmander's Shiny color is black.

It's difficult. A black Charmander is the shiny version of it. You can either keep breeding until you have a black one or you can choose him as your Starter (a good idea) and hope for the best.

you people are stupid to get a SHINY Charmander you save just before you pick the Starter then do it until you are lucky..... and only Charizard is black charmander and charmeleon are not
