A bulbasuar,because it's strong againest the first two gyms.

Why don't you just get all three starters get another firered or leaf green (best to get leaf green) and pick a different Starter and Trade them into your game.

Bulbasaur is good starting, Squirtle is good form start to middle, and decent at the end. I suggets using Squirtle.
