Yes but you can only get to them by using the Aurora and Mystic tickets given out at Nintendo events or getting Mystery Gift and doing that with someone who has them or cheats.

Island 8 is Navel Rock and island 9 is Birth Island but there's no such thing as island 10.

Yes there is but to do it you must have an aurora ticket which can be obtained from a nintendo event.
