I have Pokemon Fire Red version and I've beaten the game before, but just barely!
I want to know if this new team I thought of would be much more effective, or if you guys have better suggestions.
Here's my team idea
Venusaur(the next starter I want to try. Blastoise:done already)
Golduck(I would choose Slowbro but I have only Fire red and no way of trading at all)
Magneton/Raichu(Mag. Has high Sp.A,electric/steel typing,low speed - Raichu has lower Sp.A,higher Attack,higher Speed,mono-Elecric type)
Kadabra(remember, I can't trade these at all,yet)
Nidoking/queen(should he/she be an HM slave or a Pokemon to use in battle?)
Pidgey(really only a flyer)
Oh! One other thing please! I can't transfer any of my Pokemon to Pokemon Diamond/Soul Silver/not even my sisters Platinum! Pokemon from my Emerald version game transfer just fine though. Anyone who can help about that please do too!(my sister really wants some kanto starters. I'd like some too.) I must tell you also, the message that says "transfer from fire red" doesn't even appear when they are both securely inserted into their proper slots. Do I have to open up my fire red game using the right screw driver to fix something inside? Just please help.

I think that Pokemon Team would do really good. I would go with Magneton instead of Raichu. I would also suggest you give one HM to each of your Pokemon. This way, your team will have the the necessary HMs, but still have good, powerful moves.
When it comes to Transfering your Pokemon, you must insert your Pokemon Gameboy Advance Game into Slot 2 of your DS and your Pokemon Nintendo DS Game into Slot 1 of your DS. After you do this, you should have an option to Transfer your Pokemon on the Pokemon Nintendo DS Game's Menu (Must have at least six Pokemon in the PC in the Pokemon Gameboy Advance Game).
Hope this helps!
