Question for Pokemon FireRed
I have caught all the Legendary Birds and have beaten the Elite 4. Why the heck can't I get into the cave on Three Island, the guy still says that he is mining for gold? What I thought is that it has to due with game time, I only have about 24 hours of game time.
Please answer as soon as possible. Thanks!

You haven't fixed the network machine OR you have but you haven't gotten the National Pokedex yet.
The reason the guy is still mining is because when he is done, that tunnel leads to dunsparce - a Jhoto pokemon that your Pokedex cannot comprehend at this stage of the game.
To fix the network machine... just follow the storyline. After you've done that, defeat the Elite Four with at least 60 pokemon recorded in your Pokedex database.
After that you should be able to access Islands 4 to 7, and that dude mining for gold will open up a tunnel that leads to a patch of grass with nothing but Dunsparce... and he'll give you a nugget.... thats all he's good for however
