Question for Pokemon FireRed
Hey, I need to know how to catch the three bird Pokemon. I've put all of them on red and put them to sleep, but they won't stay in the Ultra ball. On Zapdos I used 30 Ultra Balls.

You would have to buy at least 55 Ultra balls and then when the Pokeball shakes press a then b then do it another time. Goodluck

The thing 'bout legendaries, is that you can NEVER have a 100% chance that the ball will catch em. Even when they're asleep and in the red, the chance of catching them seems to be <50%. So just keep trying.
You'll catch them eventually. Also, DON'T USE YOUR Master Ball ON THE BIRDS!!!!!!!!!! Even if it seems like you can't catch them. It's better to use it on Raikou, Entei, Suicune, or Mewtwo.

Zapdos is the hardest to catch. It took me forever. Anyway, you have to press a & b rapidly. Hope this helps!

If you want to catch the birds, use Great Balls. I know it sounds crazy but listen up. First weaken it as much as possible, paralyze it, don't put it to sleep and then use great balls. It only took me 11 great balls just to catch it.
PS: here is a way to catch it easier, when you throw the ball, it will bounce 4 times before rocking, each time it hits the ground, press up and b at the same time. When it starts to rock press right b when it rocks to the right, and left b when it rocks to the left, if it rocks three times, press down b and hold it until it says Zapdos was caught.

It's a lot easier if you freeze them and make them red health. That's how I caught Rayquaza.

Well they are hard to catch (very hard) though I got extremely lucky because I caught Zapdos with one or two Ultra balls and he didn't have any stat problems! I had to use my Master Ball on Articuno but I'm getting another 3 from Ruby/Sapphire then Sapphire again so I can get Moltres, Mewtwo, and if I can ever get an Aurora ticket, Deoxys.

I bought 4 Great balls and 20 Ultra balls and had a level 45 Marowak. Use false swipe til its on red (use twice when in the red just to be sure its got 1 health) and used yawn with the Snorlax then just kept tapping a so it uses 4 Great balls then about 7 Ultra balls healing when necesary it worked for me with Zapdos and I'm now trying for Articuno.
