Question for Pokemon FireRed
Im tryin to catch a Scyther and I've found a bunch in the Safari Zone. But if I even throw bait at them, they run from it!!! And if I throw a ball at the start, it pops out without rocking!!!!
How do I catch one???? (Yes, I know you can get one at the game corner but I don't feel like wasting $$.)
Also, what is a Nintendo event!?!?!? Where are they?? When??? I want to get Deoxys Lugia and Ho-oh!!!!!

Be persistent. If you try for long enough you'll capture one (unfortunately the ones you mentioned are the only two ways that I've heard of, and also remember that over a long period of time the cost of continually re-entering the Safari Zone can become greater than the cost of the coins neccessary to obtain one at the Game Corner).

If you don't want to waste money just save right outside the Safari Zone and then go in if you don't catch one just load the save and repeat untill you get one it will be like only going in there once

You could always teach an Oddish Sweet Scent the ender and spam it. That is the cheapest way.
