Question for Pokemon Emerald

I need help. I'm trying to get the Painting of my Pokemon for the Smart Master rank, but I don't know what Pokemon to use. I have a Noctowl with the moves Hypnosis, Fly, Takedown and Confusion, which has won me all of the contests, just not the painting, a Banett, which I HAVEN'T entered into a contest, with Spite, Curse, Screech and Faint Attack, and finally, a Dusclops with Astonish, Confuse Ray, Pursuit, and Will-O-Wisp. Any sugustions?

WEll I don't know about smart.... But I can help you with beauty. Im in all the ranks in a painting. I used my lovable Castform: Fire Blast, Sunny Day, Powder Snow, and Hail. But I'm attempting to try for smartness. Good luck with everything.

You're doing just fine! But to get the painting, you need to finish a Master Rank Contest with 6 hearts AND 6 stars or more, posted on the results. If you do this, the artist will talk to you after the contest is over.

Teach Banette and/or Dusclops Destiny Bond if you can. And feed them plenty of bitter Pokeblocks to raise stats.

Starmie is the best (or Staryu) don't teach it anything ( unless you can teach it Hydro Pump) mine won every single contest 1st go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
