Question for Pokemon Emerald
When you in the battle fronteer, there are these holes that open up in the walls? How do you get to them? There are fences all around them!

The only hole I know in the battle fronteir is of if artistan cave,
Otherwise your game may be faulty.

I Tink what you are talking about is the artisian cave where you catch smeargal
I have a short guide how to get there (this guide can also be used to catch sudowodo)
Go to battle frontier
Go to battle pyrimid
Head straight down from the door
Turn left one space when you hit the cliff edge
Head down more
When you hit the tree go left you will see an odd tree it's sudowodo use wailmer pail and it will attack catch it!
Now surf down the waterfall head left untill you can't then head up and left again
You will see a cave entrance
Go through this cave for smeargal around Lv 40 - 47
At the end of the cave you will find your orriginal cave entrance is an exit
