Question for Pokemon Emerald
Hi, I recently aquired a scyther. The problem is, it wont evolve. I assume it's evolution has something to do with how much it loves me or whether I've traded it while it was holding a certain item. But, despite my self-proclaimed "clever guesswork I have no idea what I'm doing. Could someone please tell me what I have to do to get my scyther to become a scizor?

You have to give it an metal coat item to hold and trade it. I have no idea where to get it all I know is I had the item and my syther evolved, ok?

Trade Scyther to another game while it's holding the item Metal Coat.
PS:I don't really recommend this trade. Scizors stats are worse than Scyther's. I recommed using using the Metal Coat for an Onix to evolve into a Steelix. Steelix has better stats than Scizor and Onix.
