Level up to first...try to compete in Level 50...it's much easier...that way you can practise...give your Pokemon well balanced move set and your ready to go...for more information go to the Team Ratings Forum

I can see there must be a problem with your team. Stat-upping and status inflicting moves are VERY good. Pokmon is not all about brawn you know. To be a decent pokmon battler you have to know good moveset combinations. Also, never use two offensive moves of the same type because it is just a waste of a move. I'll place an example so you understand better:

Gardevoir level 50

Psychic
Confusion
Growl
Double Team

As you can see, this Gardevoir is almost useless. Confusion is the same type as the move Psychic, and you are unlikely to use it. Growl will be pretty useless anyway. Double Team is for idiots, enough said. So, the only move that we should keep is Psychic, since it gets 1.5x power as the move is the same type as Gardevoir (Psychic). Anyway, since Gardevoir is great with Special Attack, it would be nice to make it higher, right? So, we replace Confusion with Calm Mind. Growl can be lost for another Special Attack move, and Thunderbolt is the best option. The fourth move needs to be something beneficial obviously. My vote goes to Substitute. Anyway, now we have:

Gardevoir level 50

Calm Mind (taught by TM)
Psychic (learnt by level)
Thunderbolt (taught by TM)
Substitute (taught by move tutor on top of Lilycove Dept. Store)

Holding Leftovers

At the beginning of the battle Gardevoir uses Substitute and starts using Calm Mind as Leftovers gradually restore HP. Once enough Calm Minds have been used (six is the maximum whilst the pokmon stays in, any more and the stats won't go any higher) or you tink you have gained enough power; attack everything with Psychic and Thunderbolt. You should kill at least one of the opposing pokmon with this startegy.

Gardevoir was only an example. Consider things like this when you build a team, and look at their stats. SHould the be offensive or defensive? Should the pokmon be using Attack moves or Special Attack moves? How fast is it? Things like that. Well, good luck to you.
