Question for Pokemon Emerald

This is my team and I was wondering which Pokemon should I put first in my party if I don't know the Pokemon my opponent will be using?

Surf
Recover
Psychic
Ice Beam

Salamence // LV100 @ Leftovers
Crunch
Dragon Claw
Flamethrower
Fly

Metagross // LV100 @ Leftovers

I don't think it matters unless you are in the battle frontier which then would be salamance he has a good mix of moves.

This is the section for question's only. Team rating belongs to the forum. There all Pokemon games can be rated. Salamance should be at the first party. But you should change your team.It's not balance and move pools are dreafull.

May I make some suggestions as well? There are a few things about yur team that need help besides who to use first. BTW, I'd go with Sala first 'cause of his intimidate nature an' his variety.

Starmie is okay. Though I'd go Thunderbolt instead of Recover.

Instead of Fly on Sala give him Aerial Ace or Earthquake.

Meta needs to dump Explosion an' Agility an' get Psychic an' Rock Slide. You can get Rock Slide from the move tutor lady in the Battle Frontier.

Vileplume really isn't a good Pokemon, but instead of Toxic he/ she should have Moonlight since you already have Sludge Bomb which usually poisons things.

Raichu is not good with Focus Punch. Substitute is okay, but give him Return or Iron Tail for FP.

Machamp shouldn't have 2 Fightin' moves. Get rid of Revenge for Return or Fire Blast. FB comes in handy. An' you won't want Choice Band on him either. In-game it's not such a good idea unless you give it to somethin' like Metagross, in which case you would keep Explosion an' give him Shadow Ball instead of Psychic.
