Can anyone recomend any good starter Pokemon and a good starting team? Im starting over on this game.

Here is my opinion on the starters:
Mudkip - Excellent choice, is also very helpful around a majority of the gyms
Torchic - Pretty awesome, it takes out the first 3 gyms, and helps in the E4.
Treecko - Not the best, I think it can work wonders, I started with him.
Mudkip and Torchic are the better choices, in my opinion. A good team you should start with needs to cover some weak points in your team like this:
Starter
Taillow/Swellow
Poochyena/Mightyena
Electrike/Manectric

The best starter of all is Swampert next is blaziken then sceptile.
Just choose any poke you want but be sure they are balanced and must have a good move sets or your dead.
