An AR is a cheat device used to obtain things in the game. Such as Pokemon and extra items. If they are over used however it can make the game less intresting. They can also mess up or erase data off your game. You can buy them at any gamestore. As for codes you can find them in the AR section of this website.

An AR code is a code you put in a Action Replay(AR). They are cheats that can do things in your games.
