I believe the tide is low when before 12PM, and then high afterwards until 12AM.
Okay, I personally don't understand how everyone has problems getting into Shoal Cave when the tide is low! For me, it's hard to get into when the tide is high!!
Well anyway, almost directly south from Shoal Cave is an island where a sailor is. If you defeated him already, he'll tell you when he thinks there is going to be a low tide or a high tide. And... Well, he's right.
P.S. He only tells you approximately how much more hours later a high tide or a low tide is going to occur.
Well you can't tell from the outside of shoal cave whether the tide is high or low, but it's fairly easy to tell from the inside. Just walk in, if there is water everywhere and you have to use surf to move from place to place the tide is high, if you have to walk around and there is no water anywhere and there seems like there is a bunch of stairs you can't get to then the tide is low. Youre just going to have to go many times and hope that when you get there the tide is the way you want it.
There really is no way to tell except from a guide but I think that it's like every 6 hours like in real life
There's about 6 hours difference between tides so if the tide is high, wait a few hours and it will be low and vice versa.
