It has something to do with your trainner number,other then that I don't think you can make her laugh.

What you say to the father alters what you will receive as a bonus wallpaper, in Emerald that feature was added. You don't actually say any logical words, you type in upper and lower case letters and numbers and no 2 people can say the same thing cause it changes with the Trainer ID.
However if you go to here http://www.filb.de/games/emerald/word.php?lang=2 you can choose your wallpaper and put in your ID number, then Generate your "secret word" and just put that into the line that the father gives you.

Go to http://www.filb.de/games/emerald/word.php?lang=2 You get to design a backround for a box on your pc then it will give you a code and you tell it to the girl to get it on your game. It is pretty cool.
