The natures makes certain stats better then others like say a calm nature might make it's speed lower and it's hp better thats what they do but there are 2 or 3 that I think make the stats almost the same.

The natures refer to what stats (attack, defense, sp. Attack, sp. Defense, speed) are harder to raise, and which are easier to raise. Also they refer to which pokeblocks the Pokemon of that nature prefers above the other flavors.

The nature means they'll like having diffirent pokeblocks and have diffirent stats.
