Question for Pokemon Emerald
Look don't use gyrados in you're teaM because electric is super effective against gyrados and it triple the damage electric is effective against water and flying ffor one type is double damage but since gyrados is both it triple damage my lv. 56 gyrados never win a battle one-on-one just 2on2 battle. Hop most of you know about this

True that gyarados main weakness is electric type attacks and rock type attacks, but if you teach it a ground attack like earthquake you'll definitly beat any electric Pokemon with that but if the foe has an electric attack and the Pokemon is not an electric type, surely gyarados will loose. Every Pokemon has weakness, that's why you'll have to teach it the moves that will counter atleast one of it's weakness.
