This is my favorite of every type.

Electric: pikachu or raichu.
Grass:sceptile,venasuar.
Poison:muk,weezing or swalot
Flying:pidgeot,swelow ro charizard.
Fighting:blaziken,machamp or hariyama.
Steel:metagross,aggron or steelix
Fire:charizard,typhlosion.blaziken,ho-oh,magmar,ninetales and arcanine.
Water:lapras,swampert,blastoise or feraligator.

The ones with stars by them are my favorites.

Electric: *Raikou*, Raichu (Pikachu if you have a Light Ball), *Zapdos*, or Lanturn.

Grass: *Sceptile*, Venusaur, *Breloom*, Ludicolo, Shiftry, or Tropius.

Poison: *Gengar*, Arbok, Crobat, Muk, Nidoqueen, or *Nidoking*.

Bug: *Scizor*, Heracross, Armaldo, Venomoth, or *Ninjask*.

Flying: Pidgeot, *Salamence*, Charizard, or *any of the legendary birds*.

Fighting: *Machamp*, *Blaziken*, Poliwrath, or Medicham.

Steel: *Registeel*, *Metagross*, Aggron, Scizor, or Steelix.

Fire: *Moltres*, *Charizard*, Blaziken, Entei, Houndoom, or Arcanine.

Water: *Suicune*, Swampert, Lapras, Gyarados, Starmie, *Kingdra*, or Milotic.

And for heck...
Psychic: *Lati (o/a) s*, Girafarig, *Alakazam*, Gardevoir, or Metagross.
Dragon: *Lati (o/a) s*, *Salamence*, Flygon, or Kingdra.
Ghost: The only one that's really worth anything is Gengar.

As for attacks, make sure each has at least one attack that matches their type.

Electric - Pikachu, Basically any powerful electric move would be perfect.
Grass - Spectile, Make sure you have effective grass moves, Don't worry about offensive moves.
Posion - Crobat, Posion moves completely best to attack the foe at there weakness.
Bug - Basically near the same as a grass, Go with a grass pokemon.
Flying - Salamence, It is a dragon and flyer, Good to use with powerful attacks.
Fighting - MaChamp, Perfect fighting pokemon.
Steel - Registeel, Its a legendary Pokemon with a few tricks up the sleeve.
Fire - Blaziken, Powerful starter.
Water - Swampert, Another powerful starter.
